These cookies are next level. With a slight caramel flavour from the brown sugar, dark chocolate and all the toppings, they are definitely for the sweet tooths out there đ These ones do have to chill in the fridge before baking or they will melt into little puddles, so some patience is required.
Cookies
125g butter, at room temperature
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
150g dark chocolate, melted
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
50g dark chocolate, roughly chopped â

Pretzels
Preheat oven to 180°C. â
In a large bowl or bowl of your stand mixer, use electric beaters to cream together butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg until combined, then beat in chocolate. â
Add flour and baking powder and beat together, then finish with a spatula to ensure all combined. â
Place in the fridge for 1 hour to firm up.
Dollop heaped tablespoons of mixture onto a lined oven tray (or use a cookies scoop) these will spread quite a bit so make sure to leave about 5cm between each cookie.
Top each cookie with some chopped chocolate, m&mâs and crushed pretzels. â
Bake for about 10 minutes, for softer cookies or 12-14 minutes for chewy cookies. â
Once cooked, you can use a round a cookie cutter or a cup to gently place over each cookie and make a circle motion to shape the cookies into the perfect circle.
